Anna Buła

Anna Buła is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Childhood Pedagogy at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Lodz. She has been working at the University of Lodz since 1987 and was awarded her doctorate in humanities in the field of pedagogy on July 2, 1998.

Her research and teaching activities focus on early childhood education pedagogy. She specializes in the concept of philosophizing with children and the practical training of early childhood education teachers. Her work also encompasses early childhood science education, which she describes as a 'life-giving adventure.' Dr. Buła coordinates subjects including Mid-year education with methodology, Basics of natural science education, and Philosophizing with children.

She is the vice president of the 'Phronesis' Philosophical Education Association, which aims to promote M. Lipman's concepts of philosophical inquiry with children. Dr. Buła has extensive practical experience implementing these methods in primary schools and preschools in Łódź, having conducted innovative classes with students in grades 1-3 at Primary School No. 2 in Łódź for many years using M. Lipman's method.

Her current research and implementation projects include the 'Model education of future teachers of preschool and early school education' within the POWER program funded by NCBiR. Previously, she managed the 'Get to Know, Understand, Experience' project financed by the European Social Fund from 2010-2014.

Organizationally, she participates in the Council of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, serves as chairwoman of the recruitment committee, and supervises professional practice of students preparing to become preschool and early school education teachers.
