John Y. Gotanda

John Y. Gotanda serves as President of Hawai‘i Pacific University and holds the title of Professor of International Law in the College of Liberal Arts. He previously served as Dean of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where he held roles including Professor of Law, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Director of the J.D./M.B.A. Program. Born and raised in Hawai‘i, he earned his BBA from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa (1984) and J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law (1987), where he was Editor-in-Chief of the University of Hawai‘i Law Review.
