John Tsavalas

John Tsavalas is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of New Hampshire's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, with affiliate appointments in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. He directs the UNH Latex Morphology Industrial Consortium and serves as Deputy Director of the Center for Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Innovations (CAMMI).

Research focuses on:

• Control of colloidal morphology in polymeric nanoparticles
• Molecular architecture via living free-radical polymerization
• Hydroplasticization effects on polymer properties
• Sustainable colloid systems from biomass

With industry experience at Dow Chemical and international collaborations, his work bridges fundamental polymer science with industrial applications in coatings, adhesives, and functional materials.
