John Saleeby

John Saleeby is an Adjunct Instructor at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, focusing on Capstone Experience projects, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. He retired as Vice President of Corporate Business Development at ABB Inc., where he led strategic growth initiatives across 20 business units in the Americas region over 30 years. His expertise spans energy, electric utility, industrial, and commercial markets. Saleeby holds a PMBA from the University of South Carolina, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, and completed M&A advisory training at Loyola University. He is a Certified M&A Adviser and member of the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors.

His career includes roles on ABB’s technology investment board, leadership in business incubation, and representation at trade and government events. Retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Lt. Colonel, Saleeby integrates real-world corporate strategy and M&A experience into classroom teaching, emphasizing employability through project-based learning.
