Mohammad Irani

Mohammad Vahid Irani is Assistant Professor of Finance at University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business. Teaching Corporate Financial Analysis, his research examines M&A processes, institutional investor behavior, and financial market dynamics.

Research investigates:

• Common ownership impacts on firm sales
• Non-trading institutional investor influence
• Cross-sectional asset pricing anomalies
• Financial econometrics methodologies

Publications analyze ownership structures in mergers and consequences of passive investment strategies. Work in progress explores IPO decline links to globalization and debt structure impacts on M&A.

Honored with ASPIRE-II interdisciplinary research award and multiple business school grants. Service includes Financial Management Association program committees and journal refereeing. Faculty senate membership contributes to university governance.
