معرفی
John Ross is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Natural Sciences, Biological Sciences at the University of Tasmania. With over two decades of contribution to plant hormone research, his work focuses on auxin, gibberellin, and brassinosteroid interactions in legumes like Pisum sativum (pea).
Research Interests: Plant physiology, hormonal regulation of growth, auxin biosynthesis, mutant analysis, and gene expression. His studies bridge biochemistry and genetics to understand plant development.
Grants and Projects:
- Australian Research Council grants for Hormonal Regulation of Plant Growth (2011-2014), Regulation of Seed Development (2013-2015), and instrument purchases.
- University of Tasmania funding for metabolomics, hormone interaction studies, and infrastructure.
Supervision: Mentored 16 higher-degree students, including PhD candidates exploring auxin/gibberellin interactions and Master's projects on hormonal control in crops.
