John R. McIntyre

Dr. John R. McIntyre is the founding director of Georgia Tech's Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) and a Professor of Management (Strategy Area) at the Scheller College of Business. He holds a courtesy appointment in International Relations at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs. With a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia and prior research experience at the Dean Rusk Center, his career spans over four decades in academia and international business strategy.

Research Interests: Focuses on international business strategy, export-import management, comparative management, and the globalization of management education. His work explores political economy dimensions of technology transfer, international trade policy, and strategic challenges in multinational enterprises.

Awards:

• Recipient of the State of Georgia Governor’s 2009 International Award in International Business Education

Labs/Teams: Leads CIBER, a hub for global business education and research. His expertise extends to the primary aluminum industry and international policy analysis, supported by fluency in French, Italian, and Spanish.
