Dr. John R Prowle is a Clinical Associate Professor in Critical Care Nephrology at the Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine Research Group, William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University of London, and an Honorary Consultant in Intensive Care and Renal Medicine at the Royal London Hospital. He graduated from the University of Cambridge (1999) and completed his MD under Prof. Rinaldo Bellomo in Melbourne (2012).
His research focuses on Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), Renal Replacement Therapy in ICUs, critical illness epidemiology, and the impact of multimorbidity on surgical/ICU outcomes. He has co-authored over 160 peer-reviewed articles and 30 book chapters, contributing to international initiatives like ADQI, KDIGO, and the UK Kidney Research Consortium.
