John Paul Hill is a Lecturer in the Department of History, Anthropology, and Philosophy at the University of North Georgia (UNG). He holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Georgia (2009), an MA from Western Kentucky University (1998), and a BA in History from Transylvania University (1995).

Research Interests: Dr. Hill specializes in Recent U.S. History, American Political History, and Sports History. His expertise extends to broader themes in U.S. History, Western Civilization, and Ancient History, particularly through his teaching of courses like Ancient Greece and Rome.
Professional Experience: Prior to joining UNG in August 2024, he served as an Associate Professor of History at Toccoa Falls College (2022–2024) and as an Assistant Professor of the Practice in History and Government at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (2019–2022). He also held roles as Instructor and Chair at Aiken Technical College (2018–2019).
