John Patrickson, Ph.D., serves as Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Neurobiology at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), while also holding leadership roles as Co-Director of the MSM Teaching Academy and Director of key curricular components including Organ System 3 Course for the MD1 Integrative Curriculum and Introduction to Neurobiology Graduate Course.
His academic foundation includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology from Howard University, postdoctoral training at Uniformed Services University, and undergraduate studies in Biology at Andrews University.
Dr. Patrickson's scholarly focus centers on neurobiology and medical education, with significant contributions to neuroscience education across MSM's medical and graduate programs through curriculum development and instructional leadership.
His exceptional teaching impact is evidenced by extensive recognition:
