John O'Fee, K.C., is an Associate Teaching Professor at Thompson Rivers University’s Gaglardi School of Business and Economics and a sessional instructor at TRU Law. He holds a BComm and JD from the University of British Columbia. His teaching focuses on Commercial, Employment, and Real Estate Law. Beyond academia, he has extensive community leadership experience, including roles on the Kamloops School Board, Kamloops City Council, and various health and Indigenous governance boards.

Research interests include practical legal education and the intersection of business law with community development. His career combines legal practice, public service, and Indigenous governance leadership, notably serving as CEO of the Tk’emlups te Secwepemc from 2011-2014. He currently sits on the BC Health Professions Review Board, Canada Judicial Appointments Committee, and Central Interior Business Accelerator.
Notable awards include King’s Counsel (2015), multiple teaching and service excellence awards from TRU, and recognition as a distinguished alumni (1995). He balances academic roles with ongoing contributions to municipal governance and healthcare administration in British Columbia.
