Ambassador (ret.) John Nay is an Adjunct Professor of Geography at Andrews University, teaching part-time. With 36 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, he served in roles across Taiwan, Singapore, India, South Africa, Canada, and as U.S. Ambassador to Suriname. His tenure emphasized human rights, press freedom, and environmental conservation in Suriname. He holds degrees from Andrews University (B.A., M.A. History) and a Master of National Security Strategy from the National Defense University, alongside an honorary Doctorate of Laws from Andrews (2010).
