John Nassichuk is a full-time faculty member in the Department of French Studies at the University of Western Ontario. He holds a Ph.D. from Queen’s University and a Doctorat from Université de Paris VII. His research focuses on Renaissance French and Latin literature, with particular emphasis on the interplay between Italian Quattrocento humanism and Northern Renaissance traditions, biblical paraphrases, and literary adaptations across languages. He has authored books and edited volumes exploring Homeric literary imitation, lyrical conjugal themes, and the intersection of truth and fiction in Renaissance French ceremonial entries.
Key publications include *The Comparative Poetics of Homeric Literary Imitation* (Brill, 2025) and co-edited works such as *Aspects du lyrisme conjugal à la Renaissance* (Droz, 2011) and *Vérité et fiction dans les entrées solennelles* (Presses universitaires Laval, 2009). His work bridges literary analysis with cultural and historical contexts, emphasizing textual transformations and cross-cultural exchanges in early modern Europe.
