John Mitchell is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Art within Rowan University's Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. He holds an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and a BFA from Rowan University.
As an active exhibiting artist, his professional practice includes recent shows at Ingleby Gallery (Edinburgh, Scotland), Philip Martin Gallery (Los Angeles), and Harper's Books (East Hampton, New York). His creative research contributes to contemporary visual art discourse through gallery exhibitions and artistic production.
At Rowan, Mitchell teaches courses that bridge studio practice with art theory, drawing on his professional exhibition experience and formal training in fine arts. His pedagogical approach connects academic instruction with current art world practices.
