Dr. John McCarthy is an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Business at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Limerick. He holds a PhD in Strategy from the University of Nottingham, alongside degrees in Biochemistry, Computing, and Management Science. His research focuses on innovative pedagogical methods like problem-based learning, strategic management, and entrepreneurship within SMEs and ethnic business contexts. He has published extensively on topics such as blended learning, reverse innovation, and funding access for minority entrepreneurs.
Education: BSc (Biochemistry, UL), BSc (Computing, London), MBS. Res (UL), PhD in Strategy (Nottingham), Spec. Diploma in Teaching and Learning (UL).
