John MacArthur served at the University of Northern Iowa from 1979-1995, starting as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Business Accounting (1979-1980) before transitioning to Assistant Professor (1981-1989) and ultimately Associate Professor (1989-1995) in the Accounting department. His tenure included professional development leave in 1983-1984 and general leave in 1984-1985.
