John LaBrie is a Professor of Practice and Dean of the School of Professional Studies at Clark University, serving concurrently as Associate Provost of Professional Education. He leads initiatives in graduate enrollment growth, online programming, and international education strategy. His portfolio includes oversight of Clark’s International Center and strategic development for adult, international, and online learners.

His research focuses on alternative credentialing, the transition from learning to employment, and educational innovation. Previously, he served as Dean at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies and Simon Fraser University’s Continuing Studies division.
Under his leadership, Clark’s graduate enrollments have nearly doubled, and he has launched multiple credentials including undergraduate and graduate programs. His work emphasizes institutional growth paired with quality enhancement to ensure sustainability in higher education.
