John Darland

John Darland is the Department Chair of the Master of Arts in Psychology (MAP) online program at The Chicago School. He joined the university in 2016 and has held leadership roles such as Dean and Director of Faculty Development in prior online graduate institutions. His career spans over 14 years in higher education and includes earlier work as a Mental Health Policy Analyst and Clinical Psychologist.

Dr. Darland’s academic credentials include:

• Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (APA-approved) from the MN School of Professional Psychology
• MPP in Public & Nonprofit Management from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute
• BA in Psychology and Political Science from Hamline University

His research interests intersect clinical psychology, workplace dynamics, and educational methodologies, with a focus on psychopathology, anxiety disorders, and qualitative inquiry. He advocates for integrating psychosocial approaches into professional training programs.
