Dr. John Jasso is an Associate Professor of Communications and Literature at Ave Maria University, where he serves as Director of both the Communications Program and the Communication, Rhetoric, and Writing M.A. Program. He holds a Ph.D. in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh and a dual M.A. in Philosophy and Communication.

Recent publications span journals like Philosophy & Rhetoric, Rhetorica, and Listening, focusing on classical rhetoric, Catholic intellectual tradition, and media ecology. Awards include the 2019 Catholic Media Studies Fellowship and top paper recognitions from the Media Ecology Association.
