John Hall is a Part-Time Lecturer at the Community College of Allegheny County and the University of Pittsburgh. He recently retired from the Act One Theatre School in Pittsburgh’s North Hills, where he directed their high school program. His teaching focuses on Communications, Theatre, and Film.
John holds a B.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.F.A. in Playwriting from Carnegie Mellon University.
His research and creative work include adapting John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row for the National Steinbeck Festival and authoring the musical Normal-C for Beacon College, exploring themes of identity among special needs teenagers. He is also a company member of the Western Stage of Salinas, CA.
John resides in Pittsburgh with his wife Tawnya and their teenage triplets, Katie, Sophie, and Henry.
