John H. Evans is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on bioethics, the sociology of science, and societal attitudes toward genetic technologies. He is currently completing a book examining how religious individuals perceive reproductive genetic technologies and continues exploring questions about political polarization in social attitudes.
Education: Ph.D. Dissertation titled Playing God? Human Genetic Engineering and the Rationalization of Bioethics 1959-1995 (1995).
