John Graham is a Professor in the Physical Therapy program at Emory & Henry University, where he teaches foundational science courses. He also serves as an Adjunct - Clinical Associate Professor at the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences, East Tennessee State University (ETSU). His research focuses on neuroscience, aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and educational methodologies in anatomy. He has conducted studies on sensorimotor integration, neuroanatomical pathways, and cadaver embalming techniques. Graham holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Toxicology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.S. in Biology from Davidson College.
Research & Education: Graham’s work spans neuroscience, gross anatomy education, and translational research. His current projects include studies on rodent models of aging-related memory decline, predictive factors for anatomy course success, and improving cadaver preservation methods. He collaborates with DPT students on research initiatives.
Affiliations & Service: Graham is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, American Association of Anatomists, and Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. He serves on Emory & Henry’s Faculty Advisory Committee and DPT Admissions/Curriculum Committees. He has led mission trips to Brazil and held roles such as Chairman of the Professional Behavior Review Committee.
