John Fitz Rogers is Professor of Composition at the University of South Carolina School of Music. He holds degrees from Cornell University (DMA), Yale University (MM), and Oberlin College (BM).
His compositional research integrates contemporary classical traditions with electroacoustic elements, focusing on orchestral, choral, and chamber works performed internationally. Recent projects explore spatial acoustics and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Rogers has received recognition from ASCAP, New Music USA, and the American Composers Forum. Recordings of his work appear on Innova Recordings and New Focus Recordings.
