John Finnegan is the Course Leader for the MA Writing for Script & Screen at Falmouth University. He holds an MA in Screenwriting from Bournemouth University and a PhD in screenwriting studies from Bangor University. His research focuses on digital media tools in screenwriting, remediation in cinema, and the evolving role of screenwriters in contemporary industries. Finnegan has extensive industry experience, including roles as a post-production specialist, visual effects artist, and editor. He founded The Script Department, a production company and podcast showcasing screenwriters.
