Prof. John Edwards is an Emeritus Professor at Aston Business School, Aston University, with a part-time research focus. His expertise spans knowledge management, business processes, and decision support systems, particularly examining how people use models and systems in management contexts.
Current research explores the synergy between knowledge management, analytics, and big data; knowledge-risk management relationships; and processes for knowledge creation and transfer. He has extensive experience in implementing real-world systems and addressing challenges in AI adoption.
His awards include Fellowship of the Operational Research Society and Higher Education Association. Recent publications examine organizational culture in digital transformation, surgical process robustness, and knowledge management futures.
