John Combs is an adjunct faculty member in the Criminal Justice program at Campbell University, where he has been instructing since 2001. He also serves as an adjunct instructor for the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program at Fayetteville Technical Community College, Sandhills Community College, and Richmond Community College. His extensive background includes a 30-year law enforcement career, with roles as a full-time Police Officer (1987–1999) and as Program Director and Chief Instructor at the NC Department of Justice/Justice Academy until his retirement in 2016.
