Dr. John Burge is a Full Professor of Music at Queen’s University, where he has taught since 1987 and served as Director of Queen’s Music. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (2014), he specializes in composition and music theory, with a particular focus on Canadian cultural themes. His works span choral, orchestral, and chamber music, often incorporating texts by Canadian poets like Margaret Avison and Bliss Carmen.
