Clark Ross is a Venezuelan-born Canadian composer and Professor of Composition and Theory at Memorial University's School of Music since 1992. He holds degrees from the University of Toronto: BA in Humanities, MMus, Mus.Doc in Composition, and ARCT in Composition. His works, performed globally, blend contemporary classical techniques with influences from Latin America and Baroque traditions. Ross’s compositions like Last Dance (Juno-nominated) and Lamentations (ECMA-winning) showcase his innovative approach to harmony and form. He founded the Newfound Music Festival and served on national boards of Canadian music organizations.
