John Barratt is an Associate Professor in Occupational Psychology at the University of Leicester, affiliated with the School of Psychology and Vision Sciences. He serves as Course Director for the Occupational Psychology and Psychology of Work MSc programs and leads the Psychometric Test User training CPD course. His research focuses on recruitment practices in the adult social care sector and organizational behavior.
Education: BSc Psychology (Aston University), MSc Work Psychology & Business (Aston University), PhD in Recruitment and Selection in Adult Social Care (Aston University, supervised by Prof. Stephen Woods and Dr. Ann Davis).
He holds Chartered Coaching Psychologist status and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His teaching responsibilities include advanced occupational psychology modules and professional development courses. Professional activities include media engagements and academic service roles.
