John Arcaro is an Assistant Professor in the Piano Department at Berklee College of Music, a leading institution for contemporary music. He is a nationally and internationally recognized pianist, recording artist, and clinician with performances across Costa Rica, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, and on the S.S. Diana. He has collaborated with prominent jazz artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Jon Faddis, Sean Jones, Bob Mintzer, and Ed Thigpen, and has performed with Boston Musica Viva and the Rhode Island Philharmonic.
His career highlights include being Artist-in-Residence at the Centro-Cultural Costariccense Norteamericano in Costa Rica, performing at major jazz festivals with the Jack Pezanelli Quartet, and participating in special performances of The Moses Project by Walter Robinson. He has recorded with notable musicians including Garrison Fewell, George Garzone, and Jamey Haddad, and his work appears on labels such as Brownstone, BCM, and TBA.
John Arcaro's teaching philosophy centers on learning by ear, personal expression, and student enjoyment.
