Johannes Albrecht

Prof. Johannes Albrecht is a Heisenberg Professor (W2) for Experimental Physics at TU Dortmund University since 2020. He leads the Albrecht Working Group focused on experimental particle physics (via the LHCb experiment at CERN) and medical physics. His particle physics research explores B-meson physics, lepton universality, CP violation, and detector development. In medical physics, he advances dosimetry, brachytherapy, and imaging techniques. He previously held ERC StG and DFG Emmy Noether grants (2016–2020 and 2013–2016). He serves on key committees including the LHCb Collaboration Board and the European Committee for Future Accelerators (ECFA). His laboratory is located at Otto-Hahn-Straße 4a, CP-03-113.
