Johanna Siebein

Johanna Siebein is a Professor of Typography/Type Design at the HfG Offenbach (University of Art and Design Offenbach), appointed in the winter semester of 2022/23 within the Department of Art. She previously served as a visiting professor for Editorial Design at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle in 2021. Her academic and professional work bridges German and Dutch design traditions.

Her research and practice focus on Typography, Type Design, Editorial Design, and Visual Identity. Through her design studio Laucke Siebein, formed with Dirk Laucke in 2010, she engages in culturally significant design projects, including corporate identities, book design, and typeface development, reflecting a deep commitment to design as both art and communication.

Johanna Siebein has been widely recognized with international design awards. Notably, she served on the jury for the prestigious 100 Best Posters competition in 2019. Her work and lectures have been featured at major design venues and festivals across Europe.
