Hannelore Heise (1941–2021) was a German graphic designer and academic. She studied commercial graphics at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle under Prof. Walter Funkat (1961–1966). From 1966–1980, she worked as a freelance graphic designer in Halle. Since 1980, she was affiliated with the Department of Design at the same institution, focusing on foundational art education. In 1996, she held a lecturer position in typography and type design. Though retired from active service in 2006, she continued as a long-term lecturer in writing and calligraphy until her death. Her work emphasized design principles, typographic innovation, and artistic education.
