Dr. Johanna Rinceanu is a Senior Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law and a Lecturer at the University of Freiburg. She holds an LL.M. in International Law from George Washington University. Her research focuses on criminal procedure, internet regulation, comparative law, and human rights law. Notably, she led projects on digital media regulation and NetzDG's impact on human rights. She received the Fulbright Scholarship in 1998 and served as Head of the Romania section at the Max Planck Institute until 2020.
