Johanna M Hanink is a Professor of Classics at Brown University, specializing in ancient Greek history and the reception of antiquity. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (Queens' College) and teaches courses on Greek tragedy, Athenian history, and mythology. Her research focuses on classical Athens, particularly its intellectual and political culture in the fourth century BCE, and the interplay between ancient Greece and modern political thought.
