Johann Kroha

Johann Kroha is Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Bonn's Physikalisches Institut and member of the Bethe Center for Theoretical Physics. His research explores quantum many-body systems, non-equilibrium dynamics, and strongly correlated electron systems.

His group investigates:

• Quantum critical phenomena and fermionic breakdown
• Non-Hermitian phase transitions
• Kondo physics and strongly correlated materials
• Ultracold quantum gases and open quantum systems

Professor Kroha develops advanced theoretical methods including auxiliary particle techniques for non-Markovian dynamics and renormalization group approaches. He contributes to major research initiatives including the SFB-TR185 'OSCAR' collaborative research center and the ML4Q excellence cluster.
