Johann Go is an Assistant Professor and Chancellor's Fellow in Ethics and Political Philosophy at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. He holds a DPhil in Political Theory from the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. His academic roles include Stipendiary Lecturer positions at Pembroke and Jesus Colleges, Oxford, and prior roles as Academic Visitor and Provost's Scholar at Worcester College. His research focuses on global justice in healthcare, distributive justice, and the intersection of ethics with public policy.
Education: BA Philosophy/Politics and BHSc Public Health (Auckland), MPhil (Oxford with Distinction), DPhil (Oxford). Awards include Rhodes Scholarship, Recognition of Excellence in Teaching (2023), and multiple academic prizes. Teaching includes courses on political theory, ethics, and philosophy of public policy.
Research interests encompass international ethics, refugees/migration, and normative theory. He co-convenes Minorities and Philosophy (MAP) Oxford and serves on policy advisory boards. Public engagement includes media contributions on social justice issues and policy design.
