Professor Cécile Fabre is a Senior Research Fellow at All Souls College, Oxford, and holds the title of Professor of Political Philosophy at the University of Oxford. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy, the Department of Politics and International Relations, and Nuffield College. Her research focuses on the ethics of foreign policy, including just war theory, the ethics of espionage, and the protection of cultural heritage. She also explores democratic theory, distributive justice, and rights-oriented frameworks.
Education: She earned her MA and DPhil from Oxford and completed undergraduate studies at the University of La Sorbonne. Professional history includes roles as Chair of Political Theory at the University of Edinburgh (2007–2010), and lecturer positions at the LSE and Worcester College, Oxford.
