Johan Sæverud

Johan Sæverud is a researcher at the Department of Economics, part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher (2022–2024) focusing on labor economics, public economics, and the intersection of pension policy and savings behavior.

Research Interests: His work combines register data and survey methodologies to explore topics such as subjective earnings risk, income inequality, and the impact of social security reforms. He has contributed to debates on asset testing for welfare support and the dynamics of earnings and disposable income in Denmark over 1987–2021.

Recent Publications: His research output spans labor economics, public policy, and applied microeconomics, with a focus on inequality, job transitions, and retirement decisions. Collaborative projects include analyses of worker productivity, social security communication, and pension wealth effects on retirement timing.
