Joelle Noailly is an Associate Professor at the School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where she also earned her PhD in environmental economics. She holds a Senior Lecturer position (part-time) at the Geneva Graduate Institute's Department of International Economics.

Her research focuses on climate policy, energy economics, technological innovation, and sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on how green innovation and financial mechanisms can drive clean energy transitions across industrial sectors. Recent publications in Journal of Public Economics and Nature Energy reflect her interdisciplinary approach linking public policy and energy finance.
