Dr. Joel M. Hoffman is a linguist, translator, and author specializing in ancient texts. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Maryland and has taught at Brandeis University and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. His research focuses on applying modern translation techniques to ancient languages, particularly Hebrew and Biblical texts. Dr. Hoffman is renowned for his work on the history of Hebrew, biblical translations, and uncovering omitted ancient scriptures.
Education: Brandeis University (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), University of Maryland (PhD in Linguistics). He has also studied at the Technion in Haifa, Israel.
