Joe Villasenor serves as a Professor of Practice at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he directs the Civil Clinic and has previously taught the Veterans Legal Clinic and Professional Responsibility courses. He is recognized as the faculty subject matter expert on consumer rights law and regularly presents at national and international conferences including the National Consumer Law Center, American Association of Law Schools, and federal judicial venues.
His educational credentials include a JD from the University of San Diego (2009) and a BA from Claremont McKenna College (2006).
Professor Villasenor's professional focus centers on consumer protection advocacy and access to justice, with extensive litigation experience representing nearly two thousand consumers in state and federal courts. His work integrates practical legal training with ethical professional responsibility standards, emphasizing pro bono service and clinical legal education methodologies.
