Joe Trickett

Joe Trickett is a Lecturer and Second Year Lead on the BA(Hons) Interior Design at Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University. He has held academic roles at INTO University Partnerships, Southampton Solent University, and York St John's University, with guest lectures at the British University of Egypt and New York School of Interior Design. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he was a 2024 judge for the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) student design awards and actively participates in Interior Educators (IE) and ACAN (Architects for Climate Action Network).

His research focuses on integrating circular, regenerative, and permaculture design principles into built environments. Recent projects include participation in the Architectural Association’s Design + Make Summer Camp (Hooke Park, 2024) and a 2024 conference presentation on Localisation (Interior Educators Conference). His commercial design experience spans global brands like Asics, Manchester City FC, and P&O Ferries, alongside hospitality and educational projects.
