Joe Ferry is a Senior Lecturer at Brunel Design School, part of the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences at Brunel University. With a distinguished career spanning aviation and hospitality design, he has served as Head of Design at Virgin Atlantic, Creative Director at Intercontinental Hotels Group, and Director of Art & Design for Belmond (LVMH). He is also an Honorary Fellow of Brunel University and a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

His expertise lies in creating innovative luxury brand experiences, including Virgin Atlantic's first 'lie flat' business class seat and award-winning interior designs for Belmond's Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train. He has judged prestigious awards like D&AD and SBID and contributed to conferences including The Economist's Summit.
