Joe Oyler is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education and Deputy Head of the School of Education at Maynooth University. He serves as Course Leader for the Professional Master of Education (Year 2) programme. His teaching focuses on Pedagogy, Philosophy of Education, and Research Methods at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Research interests center on discussion-based practices, philosophical inquiry, and how facilitators engage students in inquiry dialogue. Notable works include studies on teacher contributions to argumentation quality and dialogic pedagogy.
