Dr. Jodie Wills is a Lecturer in the Department of Health Sciences at Macquarie University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences. She specializes in biomechanics and neuromuscular adaptations to physical training, with applications in military load carriage and sports science.
- Biomechanics (PhD, Macquarie University)
- Sport Science (Master of Research, Nottingham Trent University)
- Sport and Exercise Science (Bachelor of Science with Honours, Nottingham Trent University)
Her research focuses on sex-specific biomechanical responses to training, load carriage optimization, and injury prevention in occupational and athletic contexts. Recent work includes developing predictive models for military manual handling tasks and exploring the role of exercise intensity in cognitive performance.
In 2019, she was a FameLab NSW Semi-Finalist and Macquarie University 3MT Final Finalist. She has also participated in the MQ Arts Faculty Consilient Partnership Seed Fund Scheme (2022).
Dr. Wills has published extensively on biomechanical topics, including knee injury prevention, tibial acceleration analysis, and sex dimorphism in physical performance. Her work bridges clinical applications with computational modeling.
