Jodie Mortag, M.F.A., is an Associate Professor of Writing at Lakeland University, affiliated with the Academic Affairs department. She holds a Bachelor's in Writing from Lakeland (2007) and a Master of Fine Arts from Wichita State University. Previously, she served as General Education Coordinator and instructor at Globe University, where she was named Faculty Member of the Year (2010).
Her creative works appear in journals such as North Dakota Quarterly, Counterclock, and Fourteen Hills. Notable recognition includes the Golden Musko Award (2015) and Underkofler Teaching Award (2017). Her research emphasizes pedagogy in humanities and creative writing instruction.
