Jodi Goble is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Music at Iowa State University, specializing in vocal coaching, opera direction, and music education. She serves as the music director for the ISU Opera Studio and teaches diction and song literature. Her career spans roles at institutions like Boston University College of Fine Arts and the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Tanglewood Festival Chorus.
Education: MM in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music from Ball State University (2009); BS in Violin and Piano Performance from Olivet Nazarene University (1993).
Research interests focus on vocal performance pedagogy, collaborative piano techniques, and contemporary choral composition. Her compositions, such as the choral cantata True Witness, blend artistic innovation with traditional forms, performed globally at venues like the Beijing Central Conservatory and the ASEAN International Festival.
Awards include the 2015 ISU Award for Early Excellence in Teaching and recognition from the NATS Art Song Competition. She leads initiatives like the Simon Estes Young Artist Concert Series and serves as pianist for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in Iowa.
