He collaborates on national quality improvement collaboratives targeting maternal morbidity reduction and preterm care optimization.
He has published extensively on topics including NICU safety culture, leadership behavior impacts on staff well-being, and the role of equity dashboards in care delivery. His research integrates network analysis of EHR data to map care team dynamics and improve team-based neonatal care. Dr. Profit also explores innovative solutions like telehealth (PretermConnect) and bedside ultrasound programs to address systemic inequities in neonatal care access and quality.
