Jocelyn Boryczka

Jocelyn Boryczka is Professor of Political Science and Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences at University of Detroit Mercy. She joined in August 2022, bringing extensive leadership experience from Fairfield University where she served as Vice Provost for Scholarly and Inclusive Excellence and held positions as professor and department chair. Her educational background includes a Ph.D. from CUNY, M.A. from Wayne State University, and B.A. from The College of William and Mary.

Her research focuses on political science and women's education, with publications including two books on women's education. She previously edited New Political Science: A Journal of Politics & Culture and has received multiple honors for her academic leadership and teaching excellence.
